Meet Mackenzie Kristjon Jenkyns

CoMotion Group Interview with member Mackenzie Kristjon Jenkyns:

There may, almost, be too much to say about Mackenzie Kristjon Jenkyns.

Personally, I was fortunate enough to meet him a few years back, before we had even launched CoMotion.  Mack was a volunteer on the Hamilton HIVE HIVEx conference planning committee and seemed to be able to pull rabbits out of hats.

Not literally of course (though, given the breadth of his skills and interests, that wouldn’t surprise me), but in the sense that he was so multi-talented, wore so many hats, and had such a wide and diverse network of friends that any problem we ran into, he could solve.

We at CoMotion were fortunate enough to have him join our community as a member at our CoMotion on King space in 2016.  Officially, he joined in his capacity as an independent financial planner, but and there are a number of buts, it’s easier to say that he joined in his official capacity as Mack.  In addition to financial planning, Mack is also the Publishing Director for Coastline Publishing, and an independent insurance planner.  In fact, it was working with and through Mack that last fall CoMotion relaunched its insanely affordable member health and dental benefits plan.

Of course, that’s not all Mack does, a fuller list would look like this:

• Insurance planning
• Financial planner
• Musician
• Publisher
• Author
• Artist
• Cook book author
• …?

And it’s particularly on the Musician point that Mack is getting a lot of attention lately, as his performing identity, This Mad Desire, just last year launched its new album with the first single “Operators Are Standing By.”  Released in September, the single’s video (shot in Hamilton at Digital Canaries), now has racked up an astounding 235,780 views on YouTube!

And this week you have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of This Mad Desire’s next single, as Thursday January 18, Mack will be unveiling “Paris of Love” at Hamilton’s legendary This Ain’t Hollywood venue.  RSVP here!

I seriously recommend meeting Mack, and if you go to the video launch this Thursday, you’ll get to meet Mack in person, he is instantly one of the warmest and most interesting people you’ll meet.

…But good luck figuring out where he finds the time to do everything he does.
