CoMotion Interview with Kristina Shea:
Kristina Shea is the visionary behind K Vision, a full-service, integrated digital, marketing and brand agency, based out of our CoMotion on King space, that helps firms big and small better tell their story and grow their business. Often when we do the #MemberMonday profiles we offer some questions to get the ball rolling and tease the member feature out that way. However, characteristic of her drive, vision, clarity and expertise, Krisitna’s answers to the initial questions actually became the feature. So without further ado, we present to you the visionary leader behind K Vision, Kristina Shea.Tell us about your company, it’s story, your role with it?
My company K Vision was built on upon the idea of brand and mortar. In order to build a strong brand, a foundation is set, built upon and elevated. Every business deserves to have their digital voice and brand heard. Every business has a brand story to tell and be heard —a personality, passion and vision of their own that is unique.
At K Vision our role is to help tell your new brand story, develop a strategic marketing plan, design brand identity, websites, manage brand reviews, discover data insights and manage the creative execution across all digital channels. We focus on the fastest path to revenue generation and how to build your circle of influence. K Vision pulls on experts in each area of expertise to ensure your branding building is connected and consistent.
I am the Virtual CMO at K Vision and develop marketing strategies and manage the creative branding and strategy for companies large and small. I fill in gaps for companies that do not have the marketing resources or complement an existing marketing team on demand. K Vision helps guide the marketing and brand initiatives so businesses and sole proprietors can focus on what they do best. I am passionate about helping people bring their brand and business visions to life.
What’s your background? Why do you do what you do?
I am a blend of art and business. I was formally trained at Sheridan College in Graphic Design, then web design. I have a business and digital marketing education from McMaster University. I have worked in small agencies and corporate environments in Toronto such as RBC, UBS Wealth Management and various insurance sectors. I later then ran marketing departments in small to large companies. I have also worked with non-profits such as The Ontario Lung Association and The Halton Women’s Shelter.
I love to work in diverse business sectors, always learning from my clients and helping people grow their brand and reach their business goals.
What are your future aspirations and goals, whether with what you’re currently doing or beyond?
I am currently working with a start-up pharmaceutical — that is developing a game changing drug delivery system that will make you rethink how you take medication. Think pain relief, seizure management, vitamins to medical cannabis. Very excited to part of this. We will be going public in 2018.
Recently, I decided to “design my life” and work and live in the city I love. Hamilton. I am currently putting my roots here in the west end of the GTHA to be part of something that is evolving and transforming. I love the history, culture, energy and the brands that we are building in the city of Hamilton. My future aspiration for myself and K Vision is to collaborate with other local west end business and help them build and elevate their brands within the ambitious and amazing city of Hamilton.
