Jack, your bio is very impressive and I can't wait to share your story with our readers. Let's start with the title of your book:
Are you saying that success a genetic trait and that scientists have proven that we all have a “Success Gene”?
Yes
Is there meaning behind the title you chose?
The book title reveals the TRUE and REAL cause of all Success.
Where did you grow up?
Kayenta, Arizona. That is a super small town in the middle of the Navajo Indian reservation.
Did your home town make an impact on your life and what you are doing now?
Yes....I hated it and wanted out of there asap.
What key events or memories changed the course of your life? Were there any driving factors that make you who you are today?
Met highly successful people in my church and asked them to teach me how they got there.
Do you have or have you had a mentor? Who is/was it and what do they bring to your life?
I have had 34 mentors.
Do you consider yourself a mentor? If yes, what is the most important thing you can share with someone seeking guidance?
I am a "Mentor to Millions" around the globe. Only get a mentor who has successfully done what you want to do or be.
If someone was to sum you up professionally, what words would they use?
Top level speaker and trainer.
Do you have a favorite saying or quote? If yes, please share it and if possible, tell us why it has made an impact on you.
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power (to choose) and of love and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7 Bible. It gave me the ability to believe that I already have what it takes to be successful and that any fear I had was not from my Heavenly Father.
Have you ever made a wrong turn professionally and had to course correct? If yes, please share the experience with us.
Many times. I have invested millions into business ventures that failed.
What do you consider to be some of the highlights of your career so far?
Being good enough to be featured on the cover of 16 magazines around the world and being interviewed on over 2,000 radio and TV talk shows including The TODAY SHOW and PBS.
If you had to choose a totally different career than the one you have, what would it be and why?
I would not choose another career...ever.
What are you looking forward to professionally? What are you excited about?
Helping 100 to 200 speakers learn how to function at my level and then all go out and bless the lives of at least one million people in their careers. That would mean that 100 to 200 million people were in someway blessed because I was born and showed up and did what I am doing. Life isn’t all about work.
I always like to know a bit about the personal side of your success story so we're taking a detour with the questions. Is that okay with you?
Sounds good!
Tell us what a perfect weekend looks like to you.
My life is so rewarding that Mondays and Saturdays look the same to me. I work and play 6 days out of 7. I love going to church on Sundays.
Jeans or suits? Which sums up your personality better?
Suits in professional settings and jeans all the other times.
Feet flat on the floor or up on the desk? Which would be your favorite work pose?
Feet flat on the floor.
Favorite foods, drinks and hobbies or sports?
Mexican food....Flavored water....being with family and playing with my grand children.
If you could have dinner with anyone, alive or not, who would it be? What would you ask them?
Jesus Christ. What more can I do to be like You?
Okay back to business. Jack, what are your core desires as an author? What are you passionate about communicating?
To be seen or heard and teach truths about success to at least 150 million people. I am about two thirds of the way there.
What makes you different as a professional? What makes you stand out?
Mega success both personally and professionally but my background says that should not be possible.
How do people work with you? What do you offer?
I do Webinars, Teleseminars, One on One Mentoring as well as Keynote speeches. I show them how to become a highly successful person in any area of life that matters to them. If they want to become a professional speaker I can get them to my level in 90 to 120 days.
Why do you believe Mentors are necessary for success?
Absolutely. They can eliminate the "school of hard knocks" and trial and error.
I've heard you say Goal Setting Doesn’t work and that it’s a waste of time when it has been the main thing taught for success for over eighty years? Aren’t you going against the wisdom of the ages?
8 out of 10 things people write down as "goals" will never happen. That is an 80% failure rate! That is not acceptable in any other endeavor. New Year's resolutions are made to be...._____? Broken. Everyone knows that. In fact New Year's resolutions are made fun of every year in January because they have such a high failure rate.
Tell us about Core Desires. What are they and you have more than one?
There are six areas of life and we all have several Core Desires in all of them. A Core Desire is something we want with ALL our heart. We want it so badly that it pierces us to our core. On a scale of 1 to 100 it is a 100. 50 on that scale would be halfhearted and halfhearted in anything doesn't cut it. 90%-hearted doesn't either.
Jack, before we go I want to thank you for sharing the story behind your success and your insights, ideas and vision. You are truly one of a kind and you deserve all the success you've had. I wish you the very best for the coming years - I can't wait to see what great things you accomplish!
